Our Firm

Moses & Associates, Inc. was incorporated in 1980 in Gainesville, Florida. We are a 30 person professional engineering firm that has established long term working relationships with selected public and private clients. Our goal is to establish these long-term relationships, not to "chase projects".

Our firm has a strong, talented and experienced staff of mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as support personnel. The seniority of the staff is evident by the nine registered engineers currently leading our work. The staff is organized into three design teams that regularly work together to enhance communication, quality control and responsiveness to schedule demands.

We routinely design cost-effective, energy efficient building systems that meet the client's standards and the project budget constraints. Design services include heating, ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, information transport and audio/visual systems.

Moses & Associates, Inc. has acquired significant experience and an outstanding reputation for projects completed at institutions of higher education. These specifically include University research laboratories, classrooms, animal care facilities, housing, sports arenas, performing arts centers, museums and technology related centers. Our firm also provides services for hospitals, clinics, K-12 schools, community colleges, industrial facilities and churches.

Our Focus

Our focus on building relationships has necessarily involved us in numerous renovations and small projects, as well as major projects. For example, we have been Campus Service Engineers at the University of Florida continuously since 1985. During that period, our intimate familiarity with the campus has enabled us to successfully complete over 1,800 minor projects, as well as utility master planning, deficiency surveys, energy studies, energy grants and special forensic investigations.

Typical projects include: chiller plant expansions, site piping infrastructure upgrades, fume hood additions and renovations, HVAC renovations, indoor air quality corrections, electric substation upgrades, EMCS/DDC control retrofits and space renovations of all types.

Our clients include: Department of Management Services, University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), J. Hillis Miller Health Science Center (JHMHC), University of Central Florida, Florida International University, University of North Florida, University of West Florida, University of South Florida, University of Miami, Edwards Waters College, Santa Fe Community College, Central Florida Community College, St. Johns River Community College, Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics, Avmed, USDA, VA Medical Centers and numerous school boards, local governments and churches.
